Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LARP (the "Service"), operated by Marengo Knoll ("LARP," "we," "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use LARP, and at least 18 to access adult-oriented categories where offered. You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

2. Your content

You retain authorship of the story seeds, characters, and messages you originate. However, by submitting content to LARP you grant LARP the rights described in our Copyright & Content Rights policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms and covers adaptation across film, television, games, and other media now known or later developed.

3. AI-generated output

The Service uses large language models and image generation models to produce responses. Output may be inaccurate, offensive, or unsuitable for your use case, and identical or similar output may be generated for other users. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on or publishing it.

4. Acceptable use

  • No content sexualizing minors, real-world violence incitement, or targeted harassment.
  • No attempts to defeat safety systems, scrape at scale, or reverse engineer models.
  • No infringement of third-party intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • No use of the Service to build a competing large language model dataset.

5. Subscriptions, Embers & payments

LARP offers Free, Plus ($4.99/mo), and Ultra ($9.99/mo) tiers, plus Embers (a virtual in-app currency) for optional premium features. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel any time from the Wallet; access continues through the end of the paid period. Embers are non-refundable, have no cash value, and expire if your account is closed.

6. Free trial

Eligible new accounts may receive a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged the applicable subscription price.

7. Advertising

Free-tier users see advertising served by third-party vendors, including Google AdSense. See our Privacy Policy for details and opt-out options. Plus and Ultra tiers do not display ads.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or create risk to the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion at admin@marengoknoll.com.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LARP AND MARENGO KNOLL WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will surface a notice in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
