This Privacy Policy explains how LARP ("LARP," "we," "us"), operated by Marengo Knoll, collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use larp.product-co.com and related services (the "Service").

Information we collect

  • Account information — email address, display name, and authentication identifiers when you sign in via Google, Apple, Discord, X (Twitter), or email.
  • Content you create — story seeds, chat messages, character definitions, and reading progress.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, features used, device type, browser, IP address, approximate location (derived from IP), and referring URLs.
  • Payment data — processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

How we use information

  • Operate the Service, sync your reading progress, and generate AI story content.
  • Personalize suggestions, next-step chips, and creator recommendations.
  • Process subscriptions, Embers purchases, and creator payouts.
  • Detect abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Serve advertising to free-tier users (Plus and Ultra subscribers see no ads).

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our partners use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences (language, E Ink mode), measure usage, and — for free-tier users — deliver and measure advertising.

Third-party vendors and ad serving

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You may also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

Third-party vendors and service providers we rely on include:

  • Google AdSense — advertising delivery, measurement, and personalization (publisher ID ca-pub-6182374407380810).
  • Stripe — subscription and one-time payment processing.
  • Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
  • Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and DDoS protection.
  • AI model providers (including OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic via the Lovable AI Gateway) — generating story text, images, and suggestions from your prompts. Prompts and resulting content may transit these providers subject to their respective terms.

Children

LARP is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at admin@marengoknoll.com and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including under GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain uses. Contact us at admin@marengoknoll.com to exercise these rights.

Data retention

We retain account and story content for as long as your account is active. You may delete stories at any time from the sidebar, and you may request full account deletion by emailing us.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — TLS in transit, encryption at rest through our providers, and role-based access controls. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and enable provider-side 2FA where available.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
