About LARP
LARP is an interactive AI storytelling platform where anyone can seed a world, roleplay with unlimited AI characters, and grow a shared library of episodic fiction. It's built and operated by Marengo Knoll, an independent studio based in the United States.
Who runs the site
LARP is designed, engineered, and edited by the Marengo Knoll team, led by founder Sean Marengo. The studio operates the product end-to-end: narrative design, model orchestration, image generation pipelines, payments, moderation, and support.

Our domain expertise
- Interactive narrative design. Two decades of combined experience across episodic fiction, choice-driven games, and serialized web storytelling.
- Applied AI / LLM orchestration. We work daily with modern reasoning models, image models, and streaming inference to produce responsive, in-character prose.
- Consumer PWAs & mobile UX. LARP is a progressive web app engineered for iOS, Android, and desktop with offline-friendly reading and installable home-screen entry.
- Trust, safety & moderation. We build content classifiers, age-appropriate gating, and creator tooling into the platform from day one.
- Payments & creator economy. Stripe subscriptions, in-app credits ("Embers"), and cross-platform IAP support for a sustainable creator ecosystem.
What we believe
Stories are how people process the world. Our job is to keep the tools sharp, the interface quiet, and the creative control in the hands of the reader and the writer — not the model.
